Why a Blog?

So it is pretty hard to just open an account on blogspot and just start blogging consistently everyday. Which is why..... This is my 9th time (no exaggeration there) attempting to start a blog.

I want this blog to be 2 things:
Entertaining: I want people to have fun when they are reading my blog. I want people to feel like they can come here after a long day and just interact with me and with my passion for makeup and beauty.
Educational: I want people to learn from me. I have been asked SO many times why I have so much makeup and why I feel like I need to own so much makeup. And the answer is that I love learning. I love trying things out and seeing how they work for me. And I love seeing how they work for other people. I am a collector, don't get me wrong, I am not a makeup teacher in my spare time. But I do have a passion to teach and to learn about makeup products.

I don't care if this blog takes off and I become some famous blogging sensation or if I just stay with a few viewers for the rest of this blog's life, but what I do care about is helping someone out there feel more beautiful. I want someone to read this and know that there is product out there that will work for them. Even if it doesn't work out for me, it could work out for you!

This blog is going to be mainly reviews on makeup that I pick up from Sephora, Ulta, the drugstore or any random place I can find some new product. I will ask some of my makeup artist friends to also add input to certain products. Especially products that don't work out for me because of skin tone, skin type and skin texture. People are all different, and I have very dry, fair skin with pretty neutral undertones. But I have friends who have dark, oily skin. Yellow undertoned, fair skin. Whatever the difference may be, if a product doesn't work out for me... it may work out for you!

I have been wearing makeup for about 10 years, I wouldn't call myself a professional by any means, but I do have a passion. And I think that is something that sets me apart from most girls who just enjoy wearing makeup sometimes.

Thanks for reading!

Enjoy!
